Dr. Jennifer Kolb is a Chattanooga native and attended Hixson High School. After graduating, she attended Auburn University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology. She taught fly fishing for Orvis after graduating while receiving her secondary science teaching degree. She subsequently taught high school Anatomy and Physiology for two years and then decided she wanted to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian. She graduated with honors from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and began her career as an equine veterinarian. After a year, she decided she preferred the hours of a small animal practitioner and joined another local practice. She joined our team in 2010 as a part-time veterinarian. Since then, she has taken over our housecall practice and divides her time between seeing patients in-hospital and on housecalls. She has served as past secretary and president of the Hamilton County Veterinary Medical Association. In her free time, Dr Kolb can be found with her husband, Norm, fishing, kayaking, or metal detecting. They currently live on Signal Mountain with their 2 chihuahuas and 5 cats.
